Course Overview


This is an introduction to Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs). The training lasts approximately 45-50 minutes. • Summary: This training is designed for professionals who work closely with children and their caregivers. The training provides key definitions related to Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs). This training explores the impacts of ACEs on childhood development. Upon completion of this training participants will be able to define ACEs, Trauma, Toxic Stress and Social Determinants of Health. Participants will be able to delineate the long-term mental and physical health impact of ACEs. The training concludes with an examination of prevention strategies to mitigate the impact of ACEs; including research on positive childhood experiences.
