Course Overview

Summary

This course dives into each type of child passenger safety restraint, how to properly use them and how to utilize best practices to keep children safe while traveling in vehicles.

Learning Objectives

Participants will be able to identify best practices when graduating a child to a new car seat or restraint.

Participants will be able to determine the appropriate harness setting for car seats when using both rear and forward facing.

Participants will be able to share at least one reason why second-hand car seats should not be used.

Participants will be able to identify the dangers of placing aftermarket items into car seats.

Participants will be able to identify how old a child must be to ride in the front seat.

Participants will be able to idenitfy and find experts on child seat safety.
